The Cottages
The farm has three holiday cottages that have been converted from traditional farm buildings. The barns were initially built by the Babbage family who owned a lot of property in this area. The farm was once part of the Earl of Portsmouth’s estate and was traditionally farmed up until 1992, when one of the farms past owners retired. The Taw Valley area in which we are situated is still mainly made up of small farms rearing beef, lamb and some dairy produce. Golland farmhouse is a traditional cob and thatch Devon long house and dates back to the mid 14th Century.

The bedrooms and bathrooms are located downstairs, enabling guests to really take in the views from the open plan lounge and diner, situated on the first floor. The wood burner, original timber beams and wooden floors create a unique atmosphere in this beautifully converted barn.
